What about if the Chiefs of Nsuta, Kokofu, Juaben, New Juabeng, Gonja and Dagomba Paramount Chiefs also request their private Security Personnel to dress in Military uniform? My parents met on transfer and fortunately, my dads side who are mainly from the coastal area travelled to work on some cocoa farms on the Ashanti region so inter married. My mum also come from diverse backgrounds of Ghana.
I got married to a woman who doesn't come from one area of Ghana and even a neighbouring country. Maybe, its by Gods design.
This is why i hate tribalism to the core. just ask the tribal bigot @Kwame Agyena Karikari or whatever who i insult on his tribalist stance always.
I stand for all tribes of Ghana and hate with a passion any tribal bigot the reason for my original post. This view was formed when i came to live in Europe over 2 decades ago. I am very objective and stand against tribalism. I have lived among almost all ethnic groups in Ghana and respect all of them. When I was growing up in Wiamoase in Ashanti region, it was only a small gutter that separated my house from the Zongo community. I had many Zongo friends but my parents who were well educated would not let me play with the Zongo boys not because of their ethnic background but because they didn’t like Western education. They liked playing Soccer all day and my father thought that will have an influence on me. My father was a Christian but he convinced the Chief of Wiamoase at that time, called OKIRIBI to give a land for the Moslems to build a school so that they can have Western Education. The Moslems feared that attending Christian schools will make their children convert to become Christians.
I am not ethnocentric. I taught at the Sixth Form at Ghana Secondary School where 90% of my students were Moslems. I keep a Koran in my room which I regularly read. It is not a bad book, though I don’t agree with some of the things written in them. And truly, I am a Christian but don’t agree with everything written in the Bible, though I respect the Bible.
Kofi just remember that I am not tribal. I just don’t tolerate nonsense when it comes to people superimposing their religious beliefs, culture, and ethnicity on others.

I asked what about someone who was born in the UK, never visited Ghana but due to the persons parentage as a child of Ghanaian(s) land in Ghana with a Ghanaian passport (by then) assumes an automatic right to register and vote different from a Ghanaian born but living in Togo, you had no answer. However, you viciously wrote severally, criticising why Ewes from Togo should be allowed to register. During that very period, Nzemas who lived in Cote D'Iviore were allowed to freely register and vote during that very election. That was my beef.
I have already commented that i hate tribalism with a passion. Never lived in my "Hometown" before. Whatever Hometown means in the context of my personal background.
I see Ghanaians as one and never understood why some idiots in Europe are not able to do zilch against racism but are comfortable denigrating other tribes. It bugles my mind.

Unbeknown to most Ghanaians, folks like A-Plus, Bryan Acheampong and others were accorded government security protections during the past NDC administration merely because these folks claimed they were fearful of their lives for criticizing the government. How convenient. The government must disclose to Ghanaians all non-government officials who are receiving regular protection from government security services, for this is the only way abuse of the system can be stopped.
