This is the reason why most of you MPs lost your seat within 4yrs.
When did you come to Kasoa you have not even started working yet and you are promising industrial hub. Kasoa is marketing community focuses on the treaders

A vast heavily populated community with very low emoyment statistics, such as Kasoa, cannot possibly and reasonably maintain its current bad state of social services - much more, implement the badly needed level of development that is required in that area, on the basis of tolls from local market traders and petty traders. Of course, the traderd will also keep their legitimate place in the Kasoa economy but looking forward, we cannot possibly attain future modern development based on the relatively insignificant levies gained from petty traders. We, as a country, as well as various communities around the country, will have to look at income from bigger industrial and corporate options to achieve a better quality of life for all of our people.

Brave words. It is good to have such good intentions. I however think that the new MP should first of all put together a team of competent technocrats to undertake this huge task. She can give the team a name like The KASOA REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT (KRP).
The KRP should then proceed to study the social and economic outlay of Kasoa and its emerging satellite communities as well as its strategic position between the capital city of Accra on one hand and Cape Coast and the Port City of Takoradi on the other. This position holds good promise and many developmental opportunities. It is only after this initial step that any talk of transformation or development can take place.
The MP should know that the epicenter of Kasoa that we know today, was born as a settlement which has uncontrollably grown up into a full fledged slum, as a result of very little intervention by the state. Thus after completing the initial studies above, the KRP will have to put together, a 5-phase development plan of perhaps a 20-year period. The development plan will have to be attractive enough to convince govt as well the private sector as to give it the necessary support. So Madam MP, this is something like the considerations that you have to make to raise Kasoa from its present shameful state into a respectable one.

Don't make promises which you cannot fulfill. We have had enough of that kind of politics. Just come into office and do what you can and let your achievements speak volume.
