The EC operates within the framework of Ghana’s Constitution and Electoral Laws, guided by the principles of transparency, fairness, and impartiality. Every decision and action taken by the Commission is grounded in legal provisions and best practices, not personal whims or inconsistencies.

2. Re-Collation of Techiman South Parliamentary Results:
It is inaccurate to claim that the EC declined the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) request to re-collate the Techiman South parliamentary results in 2020. This position was not arbitrary; it was based on established legal protocols. The declaration of results at the constituency level is the responsibility of the Returning Officer, and any disputes arising therefrom must be addressed through the courts, as stipulated in the Representation of the People Act.

The praise reflects the robustness of the electoral process under Mrs. Mensa’s leadership, not the unfounded allegations of “ultra vires” actions.
The Electoral Commission of Ghana remains a pillar of democracy, ensuring that electoral processes are conducted transparently, fairly, and in strict adherence to the law. The baseless allegations made by "Dr". Nana Yaw Osei lack merit and fail to appreciate the complexities and legal frameworks that govern Ghana’s electoral system.
I urge all stakeholders to engage constructively and support the EC’s efforts to strengthen Ghana’s democracy rather than resort to unsubstantiated claims and personal attacks.
