Akuffo Addo knows this, contributing to his extreme disregard for the Ghanaians during the second term, knowing that his mandate was from the EC and not the Ghanaian people. That information potentially informed the NPP decision and subsequent communications that they are not going to handover power and that they have 1million ways of winning the elections. Akufo-Addo, Wontumi (the semi-literate), and Bryan Acheampong have communicated this unambiguously. However, we the Ghanaians have this cohort of insensitive nation wreckers that sovereignty lies with the people of Ghana.

In USA, the President and his family pay for their meals in the White House unless it is an official dinner for a visiting Head of State, and/or other official circumstances. Furthermore, when the President leaves office the only benefit they have is security protection for the rest of their life, a chauffeur, and a secretarial assistance to cater for the ex-president's correspondences and engagements. The American ex-presidents live on their pension. In Ghana, politics has become a lucrative business. It is time to put an end to the exploitation of the people by the political class. Our politicians should go on retirement and live on their pension like everyone else.
