President Akufo Addo is still the President of Ghana until 6th January, 2025. So he must sign the bill into law before he leaves office.

If the Injunction case was decided before the elections it would have put some pressure on H.E the President to assent to it ,or else seen to be against the bill. This might have affected the NPP's electoral fortunes.
