We hope that there will be law and order in the next Parliament. Ghanaians are tired of the uncivilized behavior of our parliamentarians (e. g. Shouting at each other, yelling in the chamber, not listening attentively when a member is addressing the house, etc. etc.). If you want to behave as they do in the British parliament go and be a parliamentarian in Britain. In Ghana we have our code of conduct which is linked to our culture. For example in the chief's palace when someone is addressing the Chief and his elders no one sits there shouting and yelling at the speaker or interup him/her while delivering a speech. This is the kind of civility we want to see in our national parliament so please stop copying the white world blindly. Of course parliamentarians can applaud a speech without banging on their tables, shouting and whistling, etc. Whoever is the next Speaker must ensure that there is discipline in the house. Remember that our children are watching how we adults behave.
