These kinds of commentary from people like Miracles Aboagye, make many more people dessert the NPP. Truth be told NPP lost the elections way back. Their level of arrogance, intolerance, impunity, deaf ear etc was top notch. They justified the unjustified, defended the undefendable, spoke as if they were more human and wise than others. Anytime He, Miracles, spoke, the NPP lost votes, anytime their candidate spoke, some members went, anytime Napo spoke even more people left their party. As for the president, the least said the better. All these factors played a role. NPP's biggest issue was for them to admit that, they had it wrong and that they misjudged lots of things. Even to admit that Ghanaians have been treated unfairly. But they wouldn't but rather come and give mayopic and senseless justification of things they shouldn't justify. Instead of apologising, they would rather give reasons that do not wash. Anger has brewed in many citizens for a long time. NPP accused Mahama of being incompetent, yet Mahama's worse performance is NPP's best. So it's better the likes of Miracles Aboagye will shut up, sit quietly and have a sober reflection of their time in office , admit their wrongs, apologise to Ghanaians, and hope Ghanaians will give time a chance in the future. On the stage of democracy, their destiny to reveal.

The ants, industrious, loyal to their labor’s creed,
Bore a burden of grudges, not wisdom's seed.
For the cockroach, a figure they deemed vile,
Was poised with ambition, and guileful smile.

"Better the toxin than his reign," they cried,
"Better the insecticide, though many may die!"
Blinded by disdain, their vision impaired,
They cast their vote, unthinking, unprepared.

The cricket chirped, a lone voice in the throng,
"Choose wisely, my kin, lest we choose wrong.
For the toxin spares none; its wrath is shared,

Besides the 8 years circle of changing government NPP decided to swim against the waves.
I'm more interested in the theory of the 8 years circle of government and why they always fail to break it.
My instinct tells me that our politicians don't learn because they repeat the same mistakes.
I'll start from the economic mismanagement and the over dependence of the IMF.
Out of 8 years of NPP government,the IMF has been in charge of the economy for about 4 years.NPP took the IMF programme from 2017 to 2019 and from 2022 to 2024,still pending.
How do you explain that if you are doing well?
The only president who didn't demand the help of IMF is Prof.Atta Mills from 2009 to 2012.
Why was Prof.Mills able to manage the economy without the IMF?
I'll say it was largely because of the oil production.
John Mahama couldn't sustain the economy growth despite increasing the oil production.
Now tell me,why Nana Addo couldn't manage the economy well with 3 oilfields and double IMF support?
As we speak,Ghana is under IMF programme until 2025,let's see what the future has in store for us.Tnx.
