  Be care what you jubilate for. God is mystery. Most people are not thinking through the shift in power very deeply. The NDC's more than two-thirds majority in Parliament is being joyfullty celebrated because it connotes absolute power and assumes that Government, through its MPs, can do what ever it wants, without hindrance from the NPP in opposition. THINK FAR.
  Of course it is worth celebrating to a large extent but the truth is that real power has shifted and now rests with NDC MPs not necessarily the NDC Presidency. In politics, every thing is contested and the party and presidency do not always agree.
  
  Consider the scenario where Akufo defied and easily conquered 90 MPs openly calling on him to fire his beleaguered cousin and Finance Minister. If NPP had such a majority combined with support from the party grassroots, they would have gone directly to threaten him with impeachment and he would have obeyed. So a huge majority is a double edged sword that can be used in favour of or against the wishes of the President himself. It is Parliament that is now supremely in a far better negotiating position not the Presidency. We live to see. This may turn out to be a disaster or the greatest test of power sharing between the Executive and its own Parliamentary caucus, who will not always agree over the next 48 months. Be care what you wish for. Whose absolute will triumph?
