My view that both the NDC and NPP are equally corrupt hasn't changed; however, prior to the elections, I felt it would be good for the country if NDC won, rather than the NPP.

My logic is simple: the electorate is growing and maturing. One couldn't come to power, engage in crass corruption, and then fool the electorate into retaining one in office with pie-in-the-sky promises. In other words, corruption shouldn't be rewarded. Period.

Rightly so, some people believe that Mahama would engage in crass corruption like Akuffo Addo did because the latter is term limited and will steal all he can before he leaves office in four years. While I'm not God to see into the future, I doubt this will be the case. If Mahama does so, he risks sending his party into opposition in the next four years. I doubt that the NDC leaders will allow that to happen. Now that prominent parliamentarians have lost their seats, they will start to take the electorate seriously. You can't rob the country and leave everybody else to their own devises. At least, I hope.

Now, all the commenters who live abroad and have no skin in the game and who see the need to advertise their stay abroad must realize that the days of tribal politics may be coming to an end. I heard that people didn't vote in the Ashanti Region as much as the NPP had hoped. Yes, the tribal Wontumi and his ilk had hoped that "their people" would vote massively. They underestimated that, given the choice to feed one's family and pride of tribe affiliation, most people would choose to have the means to feed their families. After all, people have enough common sense to realize that people like Wontumi are benefitting from their parties and leaving everyone else to fend for themselves. They need to be taught a lesson.

Investigate the mafia and retrieve all the LOOT asap! Reset most of the corrupt institutions and enact legislation and amendments to every make it possible for a tyrant like nana Addo to capture our institutions such as the Judiciary, the EC, the security services, Energy sector, lands etc.

1. Saglemi Housing Project --JM must move to take it back for Ghanaians
2. BOG losses -- over GHS 60 billion, we must get to the bottom of the rot at BoG
3. CoCoBOD -- The rot there must be invested and moneys retrived
4. The Smell (SML) contract must be terminated, moneys retrieved from the looters
5. KelniGVG corrupt deal must be stopped and monies retrived
6. The 5G corrupt deal must be terminated now
7. The Galamsey kingpins must be brought to book asap. Wontumi and Abu Jinapor must be made to face the law for poisoning people of Ghana

Form a good judiciary devoid of party favouritism and prosecute anyone who's acquired money illegally in the Akufo Addo regime, what most Ghanaians are looking forward to is you trying to fight corruption and attempts to curb it. You have just 4 years to prove to Ghanaians that you can make a change, which they craved for and for which they voted for you.

Th e task ahead wouldn't be easy but prove to them that you came to solve some of the problems/hardships they went through in 8 years of NPP regime, needles to mention NPP because Akufo Addo is just a devil amongst NPPians.

Bear in mind, you didn't promise Ghanaians much, try to reduce the poverty rate, reduce tor scrap the killer taxes and create more jobs for the populace, above all do not tolerate corruption in any form.

Ashantis are not fools seeing commissioning of more INTERCHANGES and overpasses in Accra and Tema but bridges in kumasi. KUMASI needs about 5 or 6 INTERCHANGES to ease the traffic there but NPP ignored their very survival stronghold. It's a lesson to NPP now. Some NPP PARLIAMENTARY candidates to overstayed their welcome..After more than 2or 3 terms the MP must leave the scene especially where the party has been in power for 8 years..
