The 24-hour economy promise is the biggest hoax in our entire political history. Even in the US, UK, Europe, etc there's no universal 24-hour economy in any country or state. Besides the security, industries, medical, and emergency services, every other department go to sleep after midnight. That's the case in Ghana now too. So, what new will John Dramani do? That's the question we ask, the to answer to which he doesn't have. So, the easy way out is to ghost the intellectual debate and appeal to the ignorant masses. Anyone who knows a country in the world where goverments is able to implement 24-hour economy policy across all public departments should tell me. It surprises me to see people believe in this empty promise although the NDC have been struggling to explain it for over a year. If they win, it will take them the whole 4 years thinking about what actually is the 24-hour economy.

Bawumia was touted as the saviour for our economic woes and nothing changed. He was talking about some fundamentals that he had no idea of. If his boss didn't believe in him that much to hand over the steer to him, why should Ghanaians do it?

I'm desperately hoping for a change. Not with the present government or anything closely resembling it. I'm willing to take my chances with Mahama. After all it can't get worse than this and if by any chance it does, I can take consolation in the fact that it was never better under Akuffo Addo to begin with.

Yes, in 2016 Ghanaians rejected JM with the hope that NADAA/Bawumia were coming to save them by doing better, especially after their mouth-watering promises.
Unfortunately, after 8 years of NADAA/Bawumia governance, they realised that they have been scammed big time. NADAA/Bawumia failed to deliver on virtually all their promises. These include the ff:
1. Bawumia told Ghanaians that if the fundamentals are weak, the exchange rate will expose you. Then the exchange rate was US$1:GHc4.20. Ghanaians believed he was coming to hold the depreciation of the cedi in check. Unfortunately we have been scammed.
Today, you need GHc16.00 for US$1. With my GHc6,400 salary in 2016, I could exchange it for US$1,523.81. Today, my salary is GHc11,390 and I can get only a paltry US$712. Please, NADAA told us he was bringing Bawumia to help him stablise the economy, especially the exchange rate and he has failed woefully in that field and has even decided to talk about digitalisation and not the no more economy. In fact, all the economic indices are worse today than JM performance.
2. Bawumia told Ghanaians that the govt of NADAA/Bawumia was going to move the economy from taxation to production.
After the country was handed over to him and his boss, they burdened Ghanaians with over 40 new tax handles.
3. At the time the total debt of Ghana from indedendence to 2016 was just GHc120 billion, Bawumia told Ghanaians that borrowing was a lazy man's approach to economic dev't.
JM borrowed a paltry amount of this total and could show monumental infrastructure to show, including Terminal 3, Nkrumah Circle interchange, Kasoa interchange, several road works, many E-Blocks, etc.
After taking over the reigns of governance, NADAA/Bawumia went on unbridlled borrowing, moving the total debt from GHc120 in 2017 to over GHc700 billion, without commensurate infrastructure to show. This is the biggest scam of NADAA/Bawumia governance.
I can go on and on. Please, Ghanaians are worse-off today than they were in 2016.
Mr. Bentil, Ghanaians have seen JM and they have heard from Bawumia, you can mount the platform with Bawumia to campaign for him but Ghanaians have seen enough to determine what to do with their thumbs and wont follow your campagns to your stomach-filling campagn messages.
You and your Occupy Ghana, just like Aglow for Jesus have now been seen as wings of the NPP and if you are handsomely rewarded, please just shut your mouth and enjoy your booty.
The rest of us are suffering and can not afford to endure any more.
