Any Ghanaian who feels threatened by the presence of a soldier is a criminal, yes, that is how I see it.

The senior officer made it clear that this year's elections falls within the domain of security services under ministry of interior which is headed by the Ghana Police Service. When it comes to IS( that's Internal Security) it's the police who are incharge. In our doctrine which is the military and I belong to, we work with standard operating procedures. Do you think all of us are happy to see our fellow civilians to be shot and killed by some few miscreants amongst during 2020 elections ? The senior officer has spoken and that's what we are going to follow. In my 27 years in the military I have seen a lot of carnage and devastating effects of civil war in our neighbouring countries. I just returned from Sudan just a months ago and I have seen a lot of bloodshed and in that situation we lost some of our men but we don't announce it to the public. A word to a wise they say it's enough

Sorry to say that a single unarmed skinny police officer at a polling station cannot handle the heavily built macho men who come in their numbers on motorcycles and pick ups. We are not in the days of David and Goliath.
