  I agree with George. I don't understand where this nonsensical idea that an older or senior player has to always be the captain. A captain is someone who has leadership skills, period. Often times this skill is wrongly assumed in Ghana to come with age, but it is not necessarily true. Even within the France Team that actually wins World Cups, sometimes they let the young Mbappe captain the team over the much older Griesmann.

  Just like you who has sense than your father. What works for European does not work out for the Afrikan. They send their aged parents to aged homes we keep our at home with us.

  We can't afford the cost of sending our parents to homes or hiring caretakers to care of them. Being old necessarily does not mean wisdom.

  The problem in Black Star is not about the captain,it's about poor performance and bad management.
  You see,we have messed up the philosophy of the Black Star even if you bring Ronaldo and Messi,it still will not work.
  The Black Star is dead,we can't go on like this.
  If my memory serves me right,I'll say George Alhassan was one of the oldest players in the 82 Squad who won the last AFCON Trophy.
  There was Joseph Carr and John Baker but the captain was much more younger,Emmanuel Quarshie.
  There was a tangible reason for it,now let's see what went into his selection and leadership qualities.
  Emmanuel Quarshie by then has won many trophies locally and internationally more than all his peers,he was a lucky star.
  As we speak today,we don't have players who can carry their mates to win trophies on the African Continent.
  Most of these our professional players are not really making any big impact in their various teams,which is very crucial for Black Stars.
  A captain must be somebody special,capable of motivating his mates to win trophies,that's what we lack in the Black Star today.
  A very good captain is a winner of trophies but not just participating in tournaments.Tnx.
