First, I want to congratulate him on achieving his goal. However, is a 12-room house truly necessary? How many rooms can he actually use? How many kids does he have?
Consider this: when he retires, he’ll likely move back to his hometown, meaning he’ll spend most of his productive life living in a small rented house wherever he is now. Meanwhile, the mansion in his hometown will sit empty for years, benefiting caretakers who will enjoy living there with their families.
Wouldn't it make more sense to build a house where he currently lives? That way, he can enjoy it while he’s hustling and actively working. Later, when he’s ready to retire and move back home, he can sell the house—likely for a profit as it appreciates in value—and then either buy a house in his hometown or build a smaller, more practical one, like a beautiful 2-3 bedroom home with a big garden. Doesn't that seem like a smarter plan?
The same applies to people living abroad. It’s wiser to first buy a house in the country where you currently live. When you’re ready to relocate to Ghana, you can sell that house and use the proceeds to buy or build a new one there. Unfortunately, many people living abroad, particularly in the UK, struggle in small homes while building massive mansions in Ghana that they might never live in—or only use for a few years in their old age. This means they suffer in their youth for something they’ll hardly benefit from.
Let’s rethink these decisions. It’s time to prioritize and plan wisely.Same goes to people living abroad. Buy a house abroad first. When you are relocating to Ghana, sell the house and buy a new one in Ghana. Rather people are now suffering in small house outside, especially in UK and building big mansions in Ghana where they may never live in or live there in their old age for very few years. Thereby suffering in the youth. Lets start thinking please.

Proud to build a house with 12 rooms? Ask him how much tax he has paid to the state. In Ghana only public servants bear almost the whole responsibility of paying taxes Hawkers, traders pay nothing.
