Best Speaker you say? Really? Is he the best Speaker for demonstrating partisanship or what? Isn't the Speaker supposed to be impartial no matter what the circumstances? Of course, he heads a national institution over which he's supposed to stand in the middle as a fair refree and not a player. I wonder whether he's refreeing now or putting on a party jersey to get to pitch to do the penalty kick from the way leaders of his party are instructing him from outside parliament as to what he should do.
In any case, how can one expect institutions like the Supreme Court and the EC to show impartiality and fairness (even though those working there are also obviously sympathetic to some political parties) while the very persons who are making such claims are supporting someone who's also heading a similar institution that requires the same level of impartiality to do otherwise? Should we always wear party spectacles in this country in all we do and still expect to develop as other nations have done? It's sad in our part of the world.

The speaker is rather impartial to Ghanaians than what you intend to do with tax payers money! You can offload the ones in poly tanks, bed rooms and relatives accounts for the purpose! Evil gang stars!

No one should worry about his ego. His speaker role is done. The mini budget should be read to the incoming parliament and approved by same. Akuffo Addo should then read last state of the nation address to the new parliament. Nobody should mind him; his documents/personal items will be packed out quietly to his hometown. He is a complete disgrace to our democratic journey. No such speaker who's full of himself should ever be selected again. A national disgrace.
