The Police Operation Directorate was reorganized in 2012 into eight subunits and SWAT was established to replace the then Panther Subunit under the Operation Directorate. A matter of change of name within the Police Service permissable for the formation of the IGP to improve Police Services and eliminate duplication etc. So it is not a new Security Services or Agency under a different Command independent of the Command of the IGP which Article 85 of the 1992 Constitution is against. The former Senior Police Officer should stop communicating falsehood or misinformation and disinformation
