The main problem was caused by k4 and the poor advices from Bawumia at that time on the Re -denomination of the Ghana Cedi. that was where our problems started.
what was the advise this same Bawumia the then deputy BOG in 2004,
Bawumia economic understanding was questionable - because the only advises they gave to k4 at that time was to just strike out the 4 zeros nothing more nothing less-
if you want to redenominate your currency the first thing you must look at to valuate your current is your foreign reserves .
why do Bawumia at that time just chose to ignore this basic economic factor ? that if you peg your currency 1:1 with the dollar your GDP must reflect to that valuation.
after the exercise a lot of Ghanaians lost their capitals ,and their livelihood because the income was not marching to the basket which Bawumia told us - the value is the same.
it is upon this reasons I want k4 to be silent, if not and these issues are revisited in the campaign trails it would worsen NPP chances.
because ghana economic holes were created by you k4 in the name of re - denomination which was led by this same Bawumia who has also helped Akuffu Addo to print higher BOG notes like GHS 100, 200 500 1000.
who in his right sense of economic minds would prints these currencies while your minimum wage is far below those thresholds ?
