  This is medical negligence and the old man must sue. It almost happened to my wife some years ago at Korle Bu. She was losing weight rapidly and was asked to take an HIV test at one of the labs in Korle Bu. The test came out positive, but her sister nurse who works at Korle Bu and was with her did not believe it and insisted that another test be conducted. It came out negative and was rather diagnosed with a thyroid gland problem which was fixed later. Apparently, my sister in law noticed that the lab technician was not paying attention during the test and was chatting with someone nearby and switched her test results with another patient. Only God knows what will happen to that patient who went away. with my wife's real results.

  VERY TRUE WHAT YOU ARE SAYING. THIS ATTITUDES OF MEDICAL OFFICERS IS HAPPENING EVERYWHERE IN OUR HOSPITALS BUT NO ACTION IS TAKEN.

  Be bold and ask questions...engage the nurses too if asked to take injections.
  At worst go to another hospital for a second opinion.
  Some doctors get angry when you ask them questions but it's your right as a patient to know what is wrong with you and what drugs they are prescribing for you.
