For what? Have you checked whether it meets the requirements of your syllabus? Do rush. Most of these books are full of basic errors. Some are missing basic copy editing.The Akiola series was a disappointment for those of us ...

It is exceptionally well written textbook. Akiola series don’t come close both in text, detail and quality of material used in print.

Osei Yaw Ababio was my headmaster at St John's Grammar somewhere in the late seventies to early eighties. He was exceptionally talented in chemistry. He liked to say "who say man no dey" whenever he talked about the achievements of man in the field of science so we gave him the name "Who say". He liked whipping students a lot so we were always running whenever he was around. He had two little daughters at the time. I trust he has passed on by now.

Are you surprised? Ghanaians don't read so this is no news! Is the author getting paid for his book? If so, why should he lose sleep over this nonsense. That's how we are in Ghana, jealous and evil people from top to bottom.

Please no. We are commenting to improve what we have. He is not the first author of textbooks in Ghana. Prof Addai-Mensah had a chemistry textbook for sixth formers. Prof Benneh had the legendary Geography textbook. Prof Adu Boahen did a history book for O'levels. Just to mention a few and they were all well written. Let's help improve our education which was destroyed by vindictive politics.
