What is there to divulge if it's not true? Logically, it shd be "yes but he shdn't have said it", or "no there's no HIV among our students" (and how can the lecturers vouch for the thousands of students). What reputation is UG trying to protect with this denial. After all the students are adults and even not their biological children.
But this is the Ghanaian nature, to deny everything that we think embarrases us, even if it's hurting us. Yet we complain when our government does the same. When the NPP denied the galamsey menace these same UTAG guys were screaming bloody murder. "Do unto others...."
