The man is not well know in this context, a villan in this case and you use such a word in reference? Don't use words you cannot contextualise well to situations. This is a man whose son-killer has murdered two innocent girls and has therefore received the attention of greaving public and you are using such a word to describe him? No, not appropriate, ghaweb.

How some of us crave the good old old days. You could talk jazz, spew out foolishness and nobody had the technology to record anything unless they were the CID or FBI. Many High profile people are still living in the past. They live as if what they say or do cannot be recorded.
These days every pronouncement, every careless word spoken even in jest, any anger outburst etc are liable to be recorded. Even the devices you own at home or carry on you e.g Yor Cell phone ,some smart watches, smart TVs etc etc can listen and record your conversation and some devices can record video and track your movement. Some brands of cars now routinely track your movements because they have an in-built modem that constantly transmits your location to a remote server . All this information can be remotely accessed by people who have the technical knowhow. In fact if you really want to be very paranoid don't carry your mobile phone with you even when switched off.
