  But how can someone accused of murder be granted bail? Doesn't make any sense to me serious crimes should never be granted bail under any circumstances as flight risk is too great also chances of witness tampering are huge

  Ghana is a joke . Safina who was a suspect in the murder case involving her Canadian based boyfriend was granted a bail . In the first place the judge who granted this bail should have known that this lady poses a flight risk and her passport should have been confiscated and placed on a ban to travel. She has not obeyed the terms of her bail by not showing up on her court dates and her lawyer could not give a tangible reason for her absence except to give a flimsy excuse that she might have forgotten about the date of her appearance. As a lawyer , don’t you communicate with your client to remind them of the next court date and to prepare them for it ? This judge should even threaten her lawyer with sanctions for his poor presentation before the judge . This shows lack of concern and respect to the family of the deceased who have to travel from Kumasi to Accra while the accused lives in Accra. If the judge is playing into the hands of the accused, the family of the deceased should appeal to the chief justice to take the case to another Judge . The family of the deceased needs justice. How can a harlot like Safina caused the death of a young man with such a
  full life ahead of him ? She must pay for her crime .

  It appears the low life prostitute has absconded because of the lackadaisical attitude of the judge,investigator and prosecutor,starting with the judge,how did she grant bail to a suspect who has allegedly committed murder in concert with others she has refused to name? The family must get some sharp lawyer and petition the CJ on the despicable conduct of the judge.
