I told you guys.......that this is just a ploy to deploy soldiers to border towns ahead of the elections. When you're dealing with the NPP, you must always second guess them, think twice!

Reuters and such similar media outlets have an agenda. We only have to beef up security at the Burkina border areas not to allow such agents manifest. We are on the ground. We see no such evil things from Gwollu to Paga, as Reuters claims. They have a mind for publishing such fear and panic but we must not let our guard down to see their schemes come to reality.

This claim cannot be swept under the carpet. Currently we are, CLIP a local NGO based in Tamale is doing a survey in border towns in the UWR and respondents especially in Sissala West district cited vivid instances. For example a woman in a border town crosses to buy essentials such as tramadol, fuel, and food items for suspected jihadists. This woman was intercepted and arrested in one of her errands by the Burkinabe security officials. Another example was that an unknown person of french nationality crossed into Gwollu, the district capital of the Sissala West District to purchase 12 motorbikes but the dealer resisted and told him that he doesn't sell to foreigners. Less than a week some security experts from Burkina Faso went to Gwollu to interrogate him and advised him, so based on this we cannot say nothing is happening in that regard.
So my humble and candid opinion is that we should be vigilant as a nation and make good use of every piece of information or intelligence picked
