If concerned people can help him, the Government should come in and monitor him as concerned people help him to get established into society. Was it his fault he committed murder? Certainly no.

  So now he should be tried by a court. If the court says at the time he committed the murder, he was mentally unstable and therefore he should be freed, fine.

  I think the initiative is good but the sustainability of the integration process is my worry. This person has once suffered a mental fit which made him murder someone. After 17yrs you say he's mentally fit to be integrated into society just like that? I'm just thinking that after the euphoria and the emotional support at the beginning, more needed to be done than just a provision store. Remember the guy has no training and experience in business and money management. Moreover, what will even drive him to disaster is when people including his own children begin to stigmatize him with his past sin. And if the business fails, the worse will happen.
