You don't understand the constitution. If you do you would know that the constitution says the High Court shall have jurisdiction over declaration of a parliamentary seat as vacant. The seats may be technically vacant but the speaker has no power for that declaration. So, the NPP side went to the Supreme Court for interpretation of whether the action of the speaker is legal or not. The matter put before the court was not whether the seats were vacant or not. The Courts pass judgment on only matters put before them and they were right that the speakers ruling should be put on hold. What baffles me is the flagrant display of ignorance and lawlessness of the NDC side. If the Supreme Court delivers a verdict they disagree, they could appeal the ruling or go to the high court to determine if the seats are vacant or not as enshrined in our constitution. You can't say because you believe the seats are vacant Bagbin should declare you as majority side without following the due processes. The law doesn't work like that. So, I don't get it when this simple common sense eludes lawyers speaking for the NDC. If you read the letter of the constitution without the spirit you risk confusing yourself in to thinking the Supreme Court politicized.

You are really confused as an Npp. In the first place your Npp Constitution has already automatically sacked your three who went independent. Secondly, there is no ambiguity in the law which the Speaker effected to let the independent MPs to vacate their seats. Your 'god', Afenyo Markins, has said it is the High Court which can sack the affected MPs and not the Speaker. Afenyo then diabolically went to the Supreme court, hoping that they will do their NPP bid and asked for the interpretation of the law the said law the Speaker relied on. In any case, if that law was not meant to let the MPs vacate their seats, what is then the purpose of the law? Remember, the law is a punishable one to deter MPs who may cross carpet from their original party and it must be effected before the December elections!

WAA LOOK! THIS ILLITERATE BUSH EFUOM MUSICIAN IS ALSO LECTURING GULLIBLE GHANAIANS ABOUT THE EFFECTS OF GLOBAL "EXTERNAL SHOCKS" BECAUSE HE THINKS "EXTERNAL SHOCKS ARE ALL ABOUT EATING POUNDED FUFU AND AKRANTIE (RAT) SHIT SOUP LACED WITH DANKWANSERE (BAT) MEAT. KWASIA!
COVID-19, ARAB REGIONAL WARS, AND OTHER FORCE MAJEURE EVENTS ARE ALL EXTERNAL SHOCKS, NONE OF WHICH ORIGINATED OR OCCURRED DIRECTLY IN GHANA, SO WHY ARE GHANA'S LAZY THIEVING BULLSHIT LEADERS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE ECONOMIC EFFECTS OF EXTERNALITIES?
EVEN CHINA, UKRAINE, RUSSIA, TAX-FREE GULF ARAB REGIONAL LEADERS ARE ALL RECORDING ECONOMIC GROWTH EXCEPT GHANA'S USELESS LEADERS.
EVEN THE UK JUST ANNOUNCED TODAY 23 OCTOBER 2024 THAT THE UK ECONOMY HAS RECORDED A 2% GROWTH, WHICH MEANS THE UK CENTRAL BANK AND CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER (FINANCE MINISTER) WILL REDUCE INTEREST RATES TO EXTEND THE PERIOD OF GROWTH TO GENERATE MORE STATUTORY TAX REVENUES BADLY NEEDED FOR FUNDING INFRASTRUCTURE AND OTHER DEVELOPMENTS IN LINE WITH LABOUR'S ELECTORAL CAMPAIGN PLEDGES.
THE TAX-FREE GULF ARAB STATES, WHICH ARE ALL GEOGRAPHICALLY VERY CLOSE TO BOTH WARS IN GAZA AND UKRAINE, ARE ALL RECORDING CLEAR GROWTH AND THEY STILL RETAIL CHEAP FUEL AND COOKING GAS BECAUSE THOSE TWO ARE THE MAIN BYPRODUCTS OF THE CRUDE OIL (HYDROCARBONS) THEY DRILL FROM THE SEA BED, REFINE, EXPORT AND SELL TO OTHERS IN IN BARRELS.
HOW MANY BARRELS OF CRUDE OIL HANDOUTS DOES BANKRUPT GHANA GET FROM THE FOREIGN OIL DRILLING BUSINESSES OPERATING IN BANKRUPT HOPELESS GHANA?
EVEN THE 3% HANDOUTS BANKRUPT GHANA GETS, GHANA CAN NOT EVEN RETROFIT AND EXPAND THE TEMA OIL REFINERY TO REFINE THAT DERISORY 3% WE GET.
AS FOR THE LPG (COOKING GAS) AND THE MANY OTHER MARKETABLE BYPRODUCTS OF CRUDE OIL (HYDROCARBONS) FROM GHANA'S SHAMEFUL 3% SHARE, ONLY GOD KNOWS WHERE THOSE BYPRODUCTS OF OUR CRUDE OIL HANDOUTS GO TO, AND WHO POCKETS THE EXPORT SALE PROCEEDS.
SO WHY ARE GHANA'S EFUOM THIEVING AKAN LEADERS AND GULLIBLE EFUOM ILLITERATE AKAN CITIZENS LIKE OFORI "DANKWANSERE" AMPONSAH COMPLAINING ABOUT EXTERNAL SHOCKS IMPACT ON GHANA'S DECADES-OLD HOPELESS BANKRUPT ECONOMY?
IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE, GOD HAS RICHLY ENDOWED GHANA WITH GOLD, DIAMONDS, BAUXITE, COCOA, ARABLE SOIL, OVER 12" (300mm) AVERAGE ANNUAL RAINFALL (NOTE, IT HARDLY RAINS IN THE ARAB GULF SO THEY HAVE NO INLAND WATER BODIES), TIMBER, MAGNESIUM, PLUTONIUM AND URANIUM DEPOSITS, ETC.
FOR INSTANCE, THERE ARE NO INLAND RIVERS AND LAKES IN TAX-FREE SAUDI ARABIA, BUT THEY NEVER HAVE WATER SUPPLY AND DUMSOR PROBLEMS LIKE GHANA DOES. PETROL AND OTHER FUEL PRODUCTS IN SAUDI ARABIA ARE EVEN CHEAPER THAN CHEAP WATER OVER THERE IN SAUDI. THE SAME ARE TAX-FREE QATAR, THE UAE, BAHRAIN, OMAN, KUWAIT, AND EVEN EGYPT IN NORTH AFRICA.
GHANA'S SUCCESSIVE LEADERS ARE SIMPLY USELESS, SO ILLITERATE OFORI AMPONSAH SHOULD SHUT THE UP ABOUT ABOUT EXTERNAL SHOCKS.

Afenyo shouldn't 4get say Bagbin has being both the majority and minority leader before. That your father NADAA himself respects Bagbin. It's because the supreme judges don't really know what they are doing. They are creating a chaotic system for every Ghanaian blindly with some of their decisions. Will your npp be power forever? The supreme Court can't juxtapose that? How can learned judges ruled that a birth certificate isn't a nationality identity document but that the same cert is the basic required doc to acquire a travelling passport and the so called ghana card? Sorry Hon. C Ato Forson didn't file motion against the four MPs who has file nominations to contest as independent candidates and NPP candidate. He made a statement against them although Hon Haruna Iddrisu had filed a motion earlier.
The Speaker opted for the quicker path to offer rulling based on the statement of Hon. Forson in the next two days. Among other references the Speaker wrongly cited Rt. Hon. Aaron Mike Oqauye's ruling in 2020 which was based on request from NPP after the party had expelled a member MP from the party.
Predictably, Speaker Bagbin misruled that the four MPs had crossed carpet so have vacated their seats and made them vacant.
The whole world including beneficiary NDC have been stunned by the misruling. The Supreme Court has ordered the Speaker to stay execution of his bogus ruling, but he's being recalcitrant. He has not heeded the order made by the SC, but he's adjourned sitting indefinitely, sine die. He's asked his lawyers to stay the orders of the Supreme Court.

But the NPP staged a walk out. What's the need for a recall. It all depends on the speaker. And he(speaker) doesn't look like someone who will cave in. NPP go cry blood. Blame Addo and the supreme court for all this occurrence. When addo was busy packing the courts with known party stooges, didn't they anticipate all these happening later?
NPP is bad at everything, even governance too.
