Please consider the authorities’ responsibility to ensure all roads are marked. That’s also very important. A lot of key roads are presently either unmarked or with inadequate markings. Not to talk about poor street light ... read full comment

In Ghana, bad roads spoil vehicles but don't kill people. Good roads don't spoil vehicles but kill people. I recently used the newly constructed Obuasi-Kumasi road. The drivers drive as if they are on suicide mission; they drive at top speed and overtake everywhere and without any sense of safety.
Apart from the police enforcing traffic regulations, which I doubt they do, how do drivers get their licences from the DVLA? Stories about how drivers acquire licences at the DVLA is heart breaking; no wonder we see the kind of driving on our streets and the high accident rate. How do illiterate drivers pass the computer test at the DVLA?
