  Government does not have to use the military in the rabble's den that passes for a Parliament in Ghana. It seems that only the NDC its sympathisers like Rasheed Draman raise that possibility. This is because it is the NDC that party of Ayigbes and Northerners and its supporters and sympathisers who have threatened a "showdown" Parliament on Tuesday. The NPP caucus has stated publicly that it is law abiding and would rather stage a walk-out than engage in a brawl with the violent opposition. Rasheed Draman cannot give Ghanaians a lecture on the role of the military in a democracy as if Ghana is a country of illiterates. Rather he should advise his fellow violence prone northerners led by Mahama Ayariga who has championed the call for a showdown in Parliament on Tuesday and the flagbearer of the NDC John Mahama who is on record saying that when it comes to violence the party of Ayigbes and Northerners has no peers.
