Rt. Hon. Bagbin with all intent and purpose has demonstrated leadership in his public life and I have no doubt he shall bring to bear clarity in the constitutional brouhaha at hand. The supreme court must be told point blank that they also operate under the constitution and must be checked and parliament has got a role in that as well. Mr. Speaker, you have a role to play by asserting the powers of the legislature once and for all.

Tomorrow Tuesday, we, Ghanaians are excited to WATCH the COLLISION of The PARLIAMENT of the People and the corrupt Supreme Court.
I am extremely excited to see this happen in my lifetime. Next time, the corrupt supreme court shall know how to stay in their lanes and not veer off into the others lane. Lessons will be learnt by this particular supreme court to always stay in their lanes and not be causing trouble.

THE NDC WILL ALWAYS REMAIN CRUDE
NDC’S OWN DRAFTED CONSTITUTION IS NOW BITTING ALAN BAGBIN AND HIS P/ NDC VERY PAINFULLY! DIDN’T ALAN BAG— EBINI CITED A CONSTITUTIONAL CLAUSE TO DECLARE THE SEATS VACANT?
AND WHICH ARM OF THE GOVERNMENT IS SOLELY VESTED WITH THE AUTHORITY TO INTERPRET THE GHANAIAN CONSTITUTION?
Alban Child Molester Bagbin Aka, Ebini—Bag is wrong. It’s only the Supreme Court that has the right to interpret the Ghanaian constitution. The NPP, otherwise known as the Dankwa/ Busia/ Dombo tradition rejected the invite’ to participate in the constituent assembly that was formed by P/ NDC and killer Kingpin JJ Rawlings to draw the 4th Republican constitution. And so the law that Ebini Bagbin is misinterpreting was drawn by his own people. At the time JJ Rawlings had appointed all the Supreme Court justices so he made sure the constitution would favor him so that he could avoid prosecution for the numerous crimes against humanity himself and his ilks including Bagbin have committed. So here, Alban Bagbin and his group of moronic MP stand the risk of being cited for the contempt of the court.
Why? The answer is simple— since the Speaker cited a constitutional clause to declare the seats vacant, the constitution gives the right to the Supreme Court as the only arm of the government that’s vested with the authority to interpret the constitution. So Alan Molester Bagbin should put the blame on the 4th Republic Constitution himself and his ilks imposed on Ghanaians.

I don’t think the Supreme Court is challenging the power of parliament to make and enforce its own laws. The problem here is the constitutional interpretation of the clause which the speaker used to expel the MPs. That constitutional interpretation is solely vested in the Supreme Court, not the High Courts, as alluded to my some legal experts here. The High Courts can adjudicate election rules and other stuffs but when it comes down to constitutional interpretation, it’s only the Supreme Court that is mandated to do that.

For the Supreme court citing lack of representation for those affected constituencies, where have they been all these while for the people of SAAH-Volta Region?
It was the same supreme court who deprived the people of Assin North of their representation for months.
When the opposition NDC took the Asunafo South constituency to the High court for voting/counting irregularities, the court refused to hear/suspend the election citing same excuse. Why do we have these inconsistencies in their rulings? When it is A then we see the necessity of resolving or stay in execution, but when it is B then we reject it at right with biased rulings. Guys some of us have only GHANA.

I haven't read law but listening to lawyers express opinions about this matter on joynews, I'm convinced that I understand the constitution more than these lawyers. A law lecturer said the Speaker can be charged for high crime for disobeying the orders of the supreme court warning the Speaker to be careful. Article 2 speaks of a "declaration" which will form the basis of such orders. By asking Mr Speaker to stay execution of his pronouncement arising from parliamentary proceedings even before the supreme makes such declaration or bring finality to the matter, the supreme court has found itself in contempt of parliament. No declaration has been made yet so Mr Speaker cannot be charged for high crime if he chooses to ignore the supreme court orders. I really pity our law students.

Ghana has 3 ARMS of Government which are all independent for checks and balances. They all have unique responsibilities, so no one trumps over the other. What law/provision did the court interpret? The injunction is indefinite per the current order. So, which court are you referring to. Check other equal democracies. They should have empaneled at least 2 and 3 Judges appointed during NDC and times, respectively. Current courts are too biased. Even, the current National Security Minister has caution sometimes ago. Please, let us protect our democracy.

I don't understand why the supreme Court is saying by declaring the seats vacant the people of those consequences are being denied representation, how? The people of Formina in the Ashanti region for instance voted for Andrews Asiama as an independent candidate, so if he now decides to join a political party then he has rather denied the people of the consequence representation because he occupied the seat because he was an independent candidate, that's why the Constitution itself said if u do that u vacated ur seat, it's not the speaker who said it it's the Constitution, the same thing applies to those who want to leave their parties to go independent, they are expelled by the Constitution period!

NPP tried to use Georgina Wood to frustrate John Mahama. They then went ahead to interfere with the electoral commission because they thought that the EC had connections with the NDC. Once NPP sees that something has connections with NDC and they can't control it, they use the supreme court. Look at the numerous battles they've used the supreme court to fight against the NDC. The supreme court knows perfectly well that it is just doing the bidding of the NPP.
