  This declaration of "independency" by some MPs affects the next parliament sitting and not the current one. The Speaker should consult his law books again because he goofed big time.

  I'll tell you a real life incident about myself!
  
  I was in a relationship with a boy for 3 years. He had promised me marriage a year later. I was a CA that time. Well to do. However he was struggling back then. We worked together on it and finally he cleared his CA too. As soon as that was done, his behaviour changed. Suddenly, he started making reasons that his mother would not allow it. I understood his situation and decided to give it some time.
  
  One day, he goes for a conference out of town. Comes back a day later and tells me about this beautiful girl he met there who was his friend now. I felt nothing wrong as I trusted him. A week later he decides to get physically closer to me. It was consensual but I had intentions of marriage and thought he had too. It was 3 years after all. A week after that, on my birthday he meets me and dumps me. On my birthday! A week after getting physical with me. Like I was nothing. Reason? Coz his mother would listen. I cried for months trying to recover from what he did. I asked him what happened suddenly, he said nothing was sudden but he intended to leave me long ago. Yet he decided he needs to sleep with me first before dumping me. Later on came to know he was dating the beautiful girl from the conference. Was broken.
  
  After many months, I decided to pick up new hobbies. Change my job. And move on. Fault wasn't mine.
  
  2 yrs fast forward. I had a job paying thrice of what I was earning. A boy who loved me deeply and respected me. I was doing well. When suddenly a common friend with my ex calls me up. After talking for a while, he told me about my ex. Mr. Ex was stuck at a low paying job since past 8 months where he was harassed mentally. The beautiful girl who was much elder to him in age (3 years) along with her parents was pressurising him for marriage. She was so dominant that he wanted to break up long ago. But she was bold unlike me. Hence he is still scared to leave her. His mother hates the girl and has warned him of consequences if he still goes ahead with her. His friends left him after realising he wasn't a good guy. In short his work life, his love life and his family life is screwed.
  
  I have moved on and forgiven him long back. But guess karma has its way. I feel bad for both of them though. Hope it gets better for them :)
