  Mechanized galamsey started under NDC government headed by Mills with Mahama as vice. Who was Aisha Huang and under whose presidency did she become a household name in Ghana, and why wasn't she arrested?
  
  As a nation, we have to be truthful and hold our leaders accountable because we are in this together. Some of us are commenting as if NDC has no hand in the galamsey menace but they created it. When JJ and Kufuor were presidents, did we see Chinese migrants mining gold anywhere in Ghana? Now, ask yourself how did the equation about galamsey change when Mills and Mahama came to power.
  
  I will never create a problem then turn around and force you to solve it. If I do that, I am fool.

  The police and the courts are required to uphold the law. That is all that is needed. They are not doing their jobs. In the developed countries you just can’t start mining and using poisonous chemicals just like that. You need a permit and it will include stipulations and inspections by the authorities. If you break one you are fined and stopped from operating.
  Why are we not doing the same. The police and the courts are failing the nation

  The fact of the matter is that GALAMSAYERS ARE NOW THE FINANCIERS OF OUR LEADING POLITICAL PARTIES, NDC AND NPP. When there is change of government, a moratorium will be place on galamsay to allow national conversation. This way we as citizens will bring some transparency and other policies to the mining sector to control the excess and illegalities and save our environment. The politician cannot do it because he is a direct beneficiary

  The problem with this country is that everything is now politicized to the extent that the various organizations you talked about have also been politicized depending upon who is leading. A case in point is the UTAG - UG where Prof Gyampo had been promised to be appointed the Chief of Staff if H.E Mahama wins so the group has also been politicized by those leading. This has affected every fabric of the Ghanaian society making the fight against galamsey mere rhetorics. We can only solve the galamsey menace when all the political actors agree on a common line of action and no amount of diplomatic approach will change the status quo. We are just joking with the polarity of npp and ndc to salvage our water bodies and forests reserves.

  Utter nonsense. Has any party interfered with this Julor House government's attempt to fight galamsey? More important, has this government even made a concerted effort towards fighting galamsey? The answer is no. The government controls the agencies tasked with tackling galamsey, and you can't offer a single time when opposing political parties who have stood in the way of the government trying to fight galamsey. This Julor House government has been in bed with galamsey criminals and thus has had no intention of going after galamsey criminals.
