These days I seem to agree with Owusu-Bempah more. Otabil is an NPP bootlicker and obviously they didn't jail him because of his NPP connections. Otabil is concerned when NDC comes or rather NPP loses, he might be in jail.

Otabil doesn't know his Bible too well, it seems. God's thinking and man's thinking aren't the same; they arent even in the same domain or on the same wavelength. The fact that corrupt leaders come to power doesn't mean they didn't do so as a result of God's divine plan. A case in point would be the Assyrian, Babylonian, etc kings of the Bible. These were god- and idol-worshipping kings, but God sometimes called them "my servants." God used them for a purpose, among them to punish Israel when she misbehaved.

Electing a president via the ballot box doesn't preclude the divine will of God. When the apostles needed to replace Judas, qualified candidates were selected. They prayed and "cast lot." Casting lot is the equivalent of voting. Thus, God chose someone to fill Judas' vacancy via voting.

All that said, I'm not endorsing anything Owusu Bempa or any of these one-man made churches claim God has revealed to them. They are all crooks, every one of them, from the NDC to the NPP so-called prophets.

Obviously, there was no reasonable cause for otabil or the board's prosecution. Otabil is certainly not perfect but remains one of the finest and most decent charismatic bible teachers in Africa. For example how would one explain the domination of political power by the Eyadema dynasty in Togo? Owusu Bempa feels that Mensah Otabil has by logical reasoning deflated his "prophecy" about the winner of the coming elections. Hence his attacks on Otabil. It is alright to have ur choice of party and good to vote but as we pray, the Lord in His wisdom, influences the decision.
That explains why the Scriptures says, "Many are the plans in a man's heart (My choice) but it is the Lords choice/purpose that will prevail(Proverbs19:21).
In conclusion, "God rules in the affairs of men" Daniel 4:17 including every elections.
Even leaders who are terror are appointed by God according to Romans 13:1-7.
