These one-man (one-woman) conceived churches, which have pollinated across the country and continent, are destroying people's faith in God in the name of prophecies and whatever will bring them money. Meanwhile, those preaching the unadulterated word of God barely have enough members to sustain their survival because they focus on God rather than on ephemeral riches.

It is time those with platforms tell these one-man (or one-woman) made churches to think about the impact that their falsehoods are doing to the country. These aren't churches; they are 419 scams operating with the Bible as their banner, preying on the spirituality of well-meaning Ghanaians.

Bobby Jones, please tell us just one person God chose to lead, that had to go through a voting election system? There’s none. In the olden times God chose a leader and imposed him on the Israelites who were under the laws of God. None of them had to face the ballot. Christians are NOT under the laws anymore but rather under the salvation brought by the death of Jesus. God doesn’t appoint leaders for Christians or the world. Owusu Bempah’s theology is mainly based on the Jewish laws and history. Jesus came to complete the laws and instituted a new covenant based on what he said during the last supper. That new covenant, as symbolized by his flesh and blood is purely based on salvation.

You may not agree with paster Otabel on religion or philosophy, but what he has said is the exact truth. God wants the best for us but has given us the free will to chose. Everyone on the ballot has been chosen; some of them bad leaders others good leaders. Before that God has given us the senses to perceive things and brains to think. If we want the bad leader or the good one he will give to us. For example, John Dramani has been president before. If we use the senses God gave us for free, we can only elect him again by examining what he did as president and what is he coming back again to do that he didn't have the power to do. In the case of Bawumia we should look at what he has done as a vice-president and what he can do if he becomes president. If we can't do these analyses or refuse to do them because we are so addicted and drunk with party politics to the extent that even if our parties present a chicken we would vote for it, we shouldn't expect God to do that for us or blame God if we end up chosing the wrong leader. It's true God chooses leaders but the meaning of this is deep.

Look! The 2024 is a referendum on John Mahama’s past record as the former president of Ghana. Not only would Mahama be remembered for his failures as the former president of Ghana, but he will be remembered as the worst president, and the most corrupt president in the history of Ghana. If not because of politics and NDC’s lack of leadership structure to play as the alternative to the NPP, why would the NDC even make an attempt to present Mahama again as the leader of the main opposition party in Ghana?

With his abysmal performance, his inability to nib the Dumsor crisis in the bud at the very onset, but allowed Ghanaians to sleep in total darkness for four- five consecutive years, his failure to set up common Guinea fowl ( Nkomfem ) project in the North — to create jobs and to alleviate the abject poverty and the misery of his own Northern folks, plus his failure to help solve the desert encroachment problem in the North after he also failed in his bid to setup effective afforestation programs in the North after wasting several millions of tax payers money on those two failed projects ( the Guinea fowl Project and the SADA afforestation projects)

Talk less of the fact Mahama was able to set up only one ( White elephant project) factory in the entire five years of his tenure as the president of Ghana — vis a vis how the current NPP government has been able to help set up more than 200 factories that are operating right now— among many other failures that plagued Mahama’s Presidency makes him totally unfit to lead our country again.

So don’t just say the NPP has failed, there’s hardship in Ghana bla-bla- bla ! Give the reason why you think Bawumia is not credible or doesn’t have the capacity to rule Ghana as against the worst of all former presidents ( John Airbus Mahama) . Otherwise just shut up!

In our case we depend on ourselves for selecting our leaders through voting and God never took part in voting for any of our corrupt leaders as compared to the biblical time Owusu is referring to. Owusu is to young to understand the spiritual examples in the Bible vs that of our present day political system.
