What she's saying doesn't need proof beyond applying your brain to logic and common sense: Akuffo Addo campaigned on ridding the country of this menace. He assumed the presidency almost eight years ago while our water bodies are being decimated. It is one thing to be silent when there's no one complaining. The public outcry has gone on for years. Days ago, he ONLY chose to intervene to save face because elections are barely two months away. Moreover, his fear of mass demonstrations putting a dent in the economy and the political prospects of his party in the upcoming elections forced his hand. Meanwhile, there were news reportage everywhere of children being born deformed, people contracting kidney and other health problems as a direct result of the deleteriousness of galamsey. The man did nothing. As I have said many times, our politicians benefit directly or indirectly from galamsey, hence the reason why it took Akuffo Addo almost eight years to do something, although it was a campaign promise of his.

Spare me any nonsense about me being an NDC sympathizer. These NDC and NPP politicians are all crooks, every one of them. My prayer is for military takeover so they know the country has a third option, if they'll continue to rape Mother Ghana.

It is because in Ghana, parties determine individual survival in some cases.
If a party wants power, they say "things are hard" to get voters angry, they vote against a good government with progressive policies and miss the root cause of the current state of affairs.
They vote for a government that had said they can "unleash the greatest violence if provoked".
They offer no viable alternatives,nothing! However, if by some disastrous catastrophic outcome, they assume power, then we start all over again.A government of 'yentie obiara', m'ay3 odwan funu! (we would not listen to anyone, even we will ignore your demonstrations, because a dead goat has no fear of the knife).
What else do we want?

Listen, galamsey was coined from the word "gather them and sell", and it has been with us since when. Ghanaians digging for gold during those days used crude method without destroying the ecosystem. Our waterbodies started destroying under Mills/Mahama government when they took a $3billion loan from China which the lender inserted a clause that would allow her citizens to come to Ghana to do what? That was the genesis of water pollutions and environmental degradation in Ghana.

Yes, Mahama's administration was deemed the most corrupt in the annals of our fourth republic, which paved the way for Akuffo Addo's presidency. That's, UNTIL your messiah's corruption was compared to the previous administration's. Today, people pine for Mahama's return not because his administration wasn't corrupt but because they could draw the comparison with your messiah's.

Now, onto galamsey. All the galamsey-related mess created under Mahama isn't debatable. The evidence is there for all to see. But who campaigned, almost eight years ago, about ridding the country of this menace? What did Akuffo Addo do when there was public outcry, especially within the confines of babies being born with deformities, people developing health problems and dying, although the person in charge was the same person who campaigned against the galamsey menace? For almost eight years, he did NOTHING.

Now, a simple homework for you, since you keep avoiding answering this question: say, you bought a house with histories of poor maintenance and ownership and your relative sustains a life-threatening injury that is attributable to the house's poor maintenance, what would any thinking human say? 1) Blame the previous owner(s)? Or 2) Why didn't you take care of the problem since you knew about it before buying the house?

The answer to this question will expose what is woefully wrong with your thinking. I hate it when I see people act so partisan on these pages. There's one country for us and our children. If the country is messed up, it isn't only the children of one party that will suffer. All will suffer except, of course, the politicians and their families. This is the reason why I pray for military takeover. Enough of the NDC and NPP nonsense.
