This country???? You have all manners of bloody idiots parading as " this Association, this think tank, this and that", but practically nothing to offer.

To APDC, Ghana is what it is due to our mindset and attitude, okay? When did this galamsey menace become a dire national concern? It started under the Mills/Mahama government and before that, did Ghana have youth who are hungry for money?
Galamsey, which was coined from "gather them and sell" has been with us since when. Ghanaians' youth used crude method to find gold without destroying the ecosystem till the Mills/Mahama government came into office and everything change. So, my question is, where was this APDC when Ghanaians were doing galamsey without giving the country any headache till a change the narrative?
We have compromised our future with some silly excuses that there are no jobs etc so nothing should be done to stop this menace which pushing us towards annihilation, really? If we understand how bleak and unpredictable the future of this country would be, mean measures such "a full stop to all surface mining" should be the first start".
I don't care who would get hurt because we cannot mortgage the future of the entire country just because some few disgruntle elements should make money at our expense.
Any political that would hide behind the measures to stoke embers, should be banned from contesting any election till our rivers become crystal clean.
I would suggest that there should be "sit-down-with" any group of Ghanaians to iron out any difference when it come a matter of national concern. There is no sense in destroying rivers that holds our existence on this planet in search of gold and nothing should stop authorities from going after those who dare.

I mean authorities should not sit down with any group of Ghanaians to discuss anything about the stoppage of galamsey. We should stop it no matter who get hurt.

The money been spent by the police on these demonstrators could have been channeled to providing facilities and funds to facilitate the project thesis

There's nothing study about socio-nothing about galamsey. Mining has been carried on Ghana for as long as the Gold Coast has been in existence. Under over 400yrs of slavery and colonisation the environment weren't destroyed like we've seen under Nana Addo.
He's the only president who has given licences to people to mine inside forests and water bodies all for their selfish, family and friends and NPP's gain. Such a petty President who doesn't care about Ghana. Has Nana Addo asked himself how will the environment be long after he's left the scene as a President?
Very soon Kyebihene will be diagnosed of having kidney infection.
