Didn't we all see Erastus Asare DONKOR'S galamsey documentary on Joy TV where uniforms of military men with name tags, were visibly inscribed in them. What happened to them? Nothing! What does that tell you? THINK!

If the military is to be blamed then the blame is squarely at the door of Nana Addo. If you ask me why: Nana Addo is the commander in chief of the Ghana Armed forces.

They went around charging ¢30,000 for each excavator machine they found at illegal mining site. It was wealth accumulation for them.
They also destroy evidence which can be used to prosecute the offenders when arrested so most of the illegal mining operatives were set free by the court for lack of evidence.
Some police officers at various checkpoints on our roads became informants to the illegal miners giving them information on the movement and route of the operation vanguard. This enabled the illegal miners to ran away from their sites and took away the control boards of their excavators.
There were several security officers involved in illegal mining as sponsors and escorts for buyers.
Due to the lucrative nature of the vanguard operations, officers were paying monies to their seniors to be put or added to the operation and there after remit them their share.
There were several illegal mining operatives who were using the names of chiefs, politicians and other influential individuals to mine without their knowledge and involvement.
Some of the illegal miners went in for lawyers who acquired fake ownership documents to cover ceased excavators and present them in court for the release of the excavators for to them.
Chiefs were inviting illegals miners to mine in their community in exchange of cars and other monetary benefits. Farmers sold their lands to illegal miners for big money.
Some youth in some of the affected communities prevented intrusion of the site by the security officers.

Corrupt Christians and moslems. What country is this?

It's not the soldiers who failed the nation. It's their commander in chief who gave the order for them to return to barracks.
