The government even doesn't annoy and irritate me like some foolish aimless youth who are busily defending them, to kill thier own future, ask yourselves that if Ghana gets to a point of importing only bottled water and every form of food stuffs from abroad because of mercury and lead pollutted water bodies and lands, can you afford it? Those in government can, they can all relocate abroad with their families, can you? Some idiotic heads like Kwadwo Poku and Allotey (not surprising) are asking why the demonstrants decided to demonstrate in Accra whilst the galamsey is going on in other places, Lemme use armed robbery or burglary as an example, if armed robbery or burglary raises its head in many parts of Accra and people decides to demonstrate about it, Empty heads, you should appreciate that just like any other crime, its the responsibility of government through assigned state institutions and agencies to combat it, So the demonstrate calling on government to help resolve it for the people, they don't demonstrate with the anticipation that the armed robbers will se their demonstration and put a stop to their activities on their own volition, crime doesn't stop on its own, crime is combated, so Kwadwo Poku, the demonstrants are not demonstrating to the galamseyers but to government, that is how come they send a petition to either the lands minister or president or sometimes both and not to any galamseyer, empty headed Npp, this guy was a presidential aspirant. However the president of the GMA should have discussed this with the executive board before takin this action . Our leaders do not care if people die as a result of the strike by the GMA because if they really care about the health of their citizens, they would have stopped galamsey long time ago.
