It is very important to note that this industrial river bed Galamsay did not happen under Akuffo Addo. Ask Mahama who encouraged and promoted that business. When Akuffo Addo came into office, Galamsay had reached almost irreversible proportions. Even there was this kind of Galamsay at the time of Rawlings and he couldn’t stop it. As at now, it is not easy to stop Galamsay. It will be rough and terrible. Akuffo Addo did not start Galamsay. He did not encourage it.

Yet, Barker-Vormawor must be totally denied bail and duly kept behind bars until such time that his first charge of treason has been fully prosecuted by a court of competent jurisdiction. His grotesquely looking image does not warrant any more kid gloves treatment by the legal and security services in this peaceful country.
