I am afraid the Citizens should not wait for their lay and useless government to protect our Rivers , waterways ,forests and farm lands. Citizens should now wake up and fight the Galamsey operators and save the situation now.

All previous approaches to resolve this matter has failed because we failed to appreciate the need for dialogue involving those perpetuating the act.

Tackle poverty in the hinterland and galamsey will stop. Though there are genuine people calling for the end of galamsey, others are shouting for two reasons. The first is political and the second is , the water pollution is affecting those in the capital cities. You people careless about those in the villages and how they survive. Market women go and buy their farm products cheap and sell them high. They are also giving their lands out for money.
