Important: TELL NPP's 'JFK' THIS >>>>>
He MUST instruct ALL the NPP Communicators to drum the following message into the minds of the electorate: Anyone who is planning to vote for JOHN MAHAMA & NDC must start saving money to pay their children’s/wards’ school fees because JOHN MAHAMA & NDC certainly WILL abolish the FREE EDUCATION program if they should come to power. Remind the public that in the past, NDC promised to keep NPP programs but when they came to power they broke their promise and abolished or damaged those functioning NPP programs (Give specific examples!). Tell adults who have no children and so don’t care about the FREE EDUCATION program to also start saving money because they might be required to pay school fees for their nephews & nieces, etc. when NDC abolishes the FREE EDUCATION program. Similarly, anyone who is currently receiving a government cash ALLOWANCE must also start saving money because NDC certainly WILL abolish all allowances if they should win power! EXPERT SPEAKERS SUCH AS KWAMENA DUNCAN, ABRONYE DC, OWUSU BEMPAH (ABOA PAPOO), NANA AKOMEA, NANA B, CHAIRMAN WONTUMI, MIRACLES ABOAGYE , etc, must drum this message into the minds of the electorate…..that they stand to lose A LOT if they vote for JOHN MAHAMA & NDC in the coming election.

Does it mean all yam producing areas like Banda, Kintampo, Bono, Bono East, Oti, Adwira, Dambai etc etc are all galamsey infected areas? Please we can do better than falling for every politically induced prank.
If yams produced in Ghana are contaminated with minerals due to galamsey then all food crops and medicinal plants are equally contaminated. Cocoa, Cashew, Coffee which goes deep in the soul are worse off
My question is how did these minerals get to these yams more so are yams planted on river banks. Why did these scientists leave out other food crops and medicinal plants

Some food and water is affected but as another has said, most food, Yams, Coco etc are grown further north. Most farmers rely on the rainfall to feed their crops so suspect the guy writing the article does so from hearsay and without proof! Where are those purported food being loaded with the mercury metals. He should show us. Coming from America doing research don't make you a God sent so we should just believe. Last week too on one of the radio station, one man called from Bono ahafo saying by 4 years coming everyday 200 people will die, but he won't give his name. Does that make sense. When and who said people in Accra should not worry about the galamsey activity? It is only important to note that people in Accra rather earlier cared less about it, especially when the government or precisely the President and the media coalition initiated a fight against galamsey from 2017 coming down. No one gave support and encouragement but rather turned against the fight. Some sections of Ghanaians including the labor organizations said the government approach is wrong but alternative was suggested.
Another disheartening one is when the opposition NDC leadership including the former CEO of Minerals Commission, Dr Tony Aubyn went round in 2020 to encourage the galamseyers to continue their operations. The Flagbearer Mahama even made pronunciation that all arrested and jailed will be given presidential amnesty to free them.
It will be noted that where chiefs of some towns didn't allow the galamsey in their area no one is able to go there. Thus the reason why the noise making and demonstration now is a worry to some people who wonder why the demonstrators did not do that in support of the fight from even Mahama's time to Nana Addo's.
It will be good to listen and listen well before a response is given to statements.

If care is not taken, very soon, all these people are going to lose their jobs because they would not be allowed to ship poisonous meat and vegetables to them. I wonder why the few selfish people want to kill all Ghanaians. We don't see the consequences today but at most in the next 5 years, Ghana is going to reap what we're sewing today. The Youth must rise and condemn this before it turns into something else. Whoever thought that COVID-19 could shake the entire world? Ebola came to certain parts of Africa and many lost their lives. Ghana should not wait until it's too late. Maybe by that time, Akuffo Addo would be dead or living in the UK with his family.

Nowadays to farm means application of weedicides, planting of genetically engineered seed/seedlings, application of fertilizers and preservation of harvest with chemicals. All these applications of chemicals are done by unlettered farmers and your guess as to adherence to the safe application of the chemicals are as good as mine. ghana must be serious with our way of doing things lately and stop talking about the elusive galamsey

That’s a lie, the US based person got the information from a Ghanaian working in Ghana Standard board and unprofessionally without any proof went on air to say that and instead of reporting it right we want to make it look like she discovered it because she lives in the USA, any foolish talk by any idiot in the US gets prominence in Ghana.
In the US all these foodstuffs are tested before they clear them, heavy metals cannot grow in a yam and there’s no Galamsey in the yam producing areas.
Someone may have placed some smuggle items in couple of yams and instead of her doing the needful she went on air.
Very, very, very unethical.
What a shame!!!!

This galamsey can be solved easily if those in authority are not enablers. We need a new leader not from NDC or NPP and certainly not that young ‘Mese mese guy seen on billboards all over Accra , to lead this country. Those three parties will destroy the country beyond redemption if we don’t kick them out of power .This NPP government is made up con artist . They lied to Ghanaians during their quest for power. Now they have shown us their true colors. Remember, PV Obeng with all the money wealth he ‘amassed’ died at a gas station. A word to the wise is enough.

I hope she was able to tell the normal level expected in the yams that does not affect human health and the current levels found. does she want to say the yams are from galasey areas. in ghana we know where our yams come from. i think she just put it out there.
the Galamsey must be minimized but we cannot just scare the masses.
