  I would ban EVERY religion or church that is not purely African and will drastically promote spiritual African religion.

  Why can't the entire Catholic Church in the country carry out this pious prayer and demonstration than only the Archdiocese of Accra going to demonstrate alone? Has the Catholic segregated in the country to such an extent? What is the Bishops Conference of Ghana saying and doing about this mess 9f environmental degradation and desecration? Ghanaian Catholics must rememer to walk the encyclical of Pope Francis, "Laudiato Si" . This is the opportune time to walk the talks, teachings, and preaching of the pope and the Gospel. Ghanaian Catholics must lead this fight against galamsey. The Church is now becoming too weak and voiceless compared to its state in the 1970, 1980s and 1990s.

  The timing is wrong. Why wait until election time to embark on this walk? Since time in memory didn't the church see what galamsey has done to our environment?
  I am a true catholic but the timing is wrong. What do you expect the president who has only two months to end his presidency to do? God listens to our prayers no matter where you are; either a peaceful prayer walk or not. The church should declare one day of prayer to educate their congregation and Ghanaians instead of a prayer walk.
  The church should inform Ghanaians that they want to demonstrate against galamsey instead of twisting the message. Our God is a listening God who hears our prayers. As a church who wants to protect God's creation, why wait that long before realizing that God's creation is being destroyed and needs to be protected?
  In my opinion the prayer walk is needless. Rather the church should use the pulpit to educate Ghanaians. Please don't be political in your handling of galamsey. We are all involved.

Their congregants constitute a significant portion of the total population of Greater Accra, so their impact on the environment (positively or negatively) could also be significant.
