That is stupid and silly excuse. Growing up as young boy, I never engaged in illegal mining or galamsey. Galamsey is later day addition to our problems created by foolish politicians, and people who have no idea about the long-term effects of galamsey on our health.

How do we hide behind some silly excuse and destroy our environment that sustain our existence on the planet? Can we live without water so, what is the sense in destroying all water bodies in search of gold?

That is not an excuse to go into galamsey,they can use the same energy which they use into galamsey to go into farming and sell their crops for money for better livelihoods,

Not true. People only destroy water bodies and forest preserves because they been offered jobs in illegal activities and the government does nothing to stop the illegal activities. You can make unfounded excuses for wrongdoer ...

Not true. People only destroy water bodies and forest preserves because they been offered jobs in illegal activities and the government does nothing to stop the illegal activities. You can make unfounded excuses for wrongdoers and not expect them to read these excuses and be emboldened in their illegal work.
