We don't need these nonsensical emergency fixes. There is a budget allocated for maintaining all of Ghana's sports infrastructure. After CAF approves it is likely nothing will be done and the same maintenance problem pattern will emerge again. We don't need to wait to be banned before we fix or continuously maintain our national stadia. It's like waiting for an outsider to come and tell you that your house is dirty before you have the sense to clean it. Our standards have fallen so low. This Sports Minister should be sacked immediately.

If the GFA is so furiously independent minded, why hasn't it behaved as an independent body in making independent decisions to do the job it so jealously guards? Had the government even gone to inspect the stadia and commented on their poor state, wouldn't the same GFA have complained about interference.
