It's a big a lie, they lost because of their ineptness but blamed it on their fight that they waged on galamsey, they are irresponsible, they never take any responsibility for any blunder they commit, they always blame everyone and everything but themselves, they Npp are running Obuasi, Dunkwa, Tarkwa etc these are the three main galamsey giant towns. They touted the 2020 election as galamsey vrs free SHS, meaning galamsey people voted for the NDC and the cherishers of free SHS also voted the Npp. Which was a big made up lie, they won many galamsey areas seats.

Atik Mohammed, if you say it was not true, provide evidence but don’t leave it like that. Most of the seats lost by the NPP in 2020 were at Galamsey areas. The truth is that the fight against galamsey has been politicized with NDC taking undue advantage of that. Why should President Mahama, for instance, promise those in jail for galamsey that he will release them when he wins power? Food for thought.
