  Audit is audit. The EC must allow an audit into its affairs. If the EC has nothing to hide then it must allow the audit. We have committed our national resources into the hands of the EC and they must allow the audit to be carried out. Jean Mensa is becoming too stubborn. After all we are paying her and she must be accountable. I don't know what Jean Mensa understands by institutional independence. If the EC is independent , it doesn't mean that it can't be audited.

  The register is a public document and all parties have been issued copies to audit and submit their findings. They are free to submit it to any auditor of their choice to audit it. What is being demanded by NDC in the name of a forensic audit is an IT audit of the EC's computer systems by an outsider. THAT CANNOT BE ALLOWED. It will be suicidal to give access to our elections management software to an outside auditor and risk the hacking of the system by NDC or any other persons looking to reap electoral advantage from intercepting and manipulating election results captured by the system. THAT WAS NDC'S GRAND SCHEME WHICH HAS NOW FAILED. They should send the Russian IT specialists back. We don't want them here.
