I think Bawumia wasn't born yet when Chiefs formed an intergral part of the colonial government.Chiefs had their police forces and courts. They used these two institutions to oppress and intimidate their subjects. And Bawumia says what? He wants to give Chiefs more powers. Is it not Chiefs who have encouraged and accelerated galamsey in Ghana? He wants to involve chiefs in the licensing of small scale mining. Bawumia is a dickhead..He doesn't know what he is talking about. He is always playing to the gallery. He talks just to please people.

They have no solution to the Galamsey menace. Under Dr. Bawumia, this menace will not stop. Bawumia should let us know the plans he will institute other than making an open statement that chiefs will be allowed to operate. The chiefs and government officials are already in the game, destroying all our water bodies. I don`t think Bawumia has any concrete solution. The nonsense of galamsey has happened under his watch.I don`t think NDC has an answer either.

Nonsense. A vision-less plan designed solely to gather votes from chiefs. The licensing of mining operations should be the sole responsibility of the national government. Bawumia and his NPP government have failed to tackle galamsey, and he now plans on giving chiefs power in the licensing of small-scale mining. Bawumia is not only incompetent but also vision-less, and he must be evicted from Julor House by Ghana voters on December 7.

Again there is a vicious cycle and Gh. must come to terms with it, they can no longer hide their heads in the sand and assume the problem will take care of itself. These politicians go out there to find money to fight elections(Money Galore by Amu Djoleto) and if they assume office, these debts have to paid. The mechanism they use in repaying these debts is best explained by our literature(Ayi Kwei Armah, the beautyful ones are not yet born and Chinue Achebe, No longer at east) and the contemporary every lives
