Yes,here in the UK there is an independent body (The Independent Police Commission) that investigates complaints against the Police. This ensures that there is no impartiality when cases brought against the Police are being investigated .How do you expect the Police in Ghana to find itself guilty when investigating cases brought against it? It will certainly always come out with spurious reasons to absolve itself from complaints levelled against it.

A cousin of mine had an issue with the Anloga Police Station Commander.
My cousin gave money to his grandnephew to spray glass on his farm and plant sugarcane for him.
One of defendants in a litigation on the land which the Abor Circuit Court ruled against the defendants in 2017 went to the farm with spears to stop his grandnephew and workers from working on the farm.
The same defendant, went to Anloga Police Station to report a matter of an attempt on his life by my cousin's grandnephew and labourers who were hired to spray the weeds.
In that matter the defendant who had no right to venture into the land and his accomplice were in the picture shown to the Anloga police holding spears, and my cousin's grandnephew and labourers were holding machetes that they use to clear weeds on their way to the farm.
The defendant in a statement to the police said that he was threatened with machete whiles on a plot of land which a court ruled that not him or his agents must step foot on.
This matter went to the Ghana Police Disciplinary Committee, which instead of cautioning the police officers in the case rather told them to charge my cousin in court for attempting to cause harm.
There is internationally accepted legal right of a person protecting his property and in this case which he had a ruling.
Looking at rulings from around the world on matter concerning protecting of property, it looks like a person armed with a spear have so much advantage over a person with a machete.
