  How can any serious institution have such a hollow minded man as its leader. Did he actually take into consideration the health issues people are currently going through as a result of galamsey? Poor people are developing all manner of kidney problems and many birth defects and he says what? In fact, the Gold being mined is turning into a curse to Ghana and he doesn't see it? My goodness, no wonder the country is like this. We have fools leading our country.

  What a shame to see the president of national house of chiefs prioritizing his interests over his roles as the custodian of culture and moral values! There's no justification arguing to defend galamsey because of economy, money, or wealth. The health hazards associated with this mess of galamsey must frighten every Ghanaian to rise and root out the canker that bedvils us and future generations. The safety of the environment takes precedent over the economy.

Unfortunately, EU and US are careless about Ghana's illegal mining activities but continue giving them money and buying gold from Ghana.

  This chief is just like his forefathers who sold our own kind into slavery because they lack empathy. How can one see nothing wrong with galamsey? I hope we will have a leader one day who will fulfill the dreams of Nkrumah and ensure that chiefs leave their sandals behind and run away from the country. The Chieftaincy institution has become a liability rather than assets in our development efforts.
