ASANTEHENE should learn from this. He sits down and take bribes to allow the forest reserves to be destroyed before using a few unpopular chiefs as scape goats.

Asantehene should go after Wontume, the Chief of all Galamseyers if indeed he Asantehene is in support of fighting galamsey

It was heart-warming to see the beauty of their river which could be drunk in its raw state. If such a position could adopted by other farming communities, I believe our water bodies challenges would be over.

A good analysis of this news item shows that chiefs are the last and one of the important authorities to consult before any galamsey operation takes place. It also tells us chiefs take bribes to promote the polution of our water bodies and destruction of our forest reserves. This chief deserves recognition for his patriotic stance on this galamsey menace. Why don't we lunch a go-found-me to take care of his health issues. We need to give recognition to the Catholic Father and the youth of Jema. The youth of Jema has made nonsense of the fact that there are no jobs that is why the youth resort to galamsey. However, Ghanaweb get your geographical fact right. Aowin is not in Bono Region, it's in the Western North Region.
