All this talk of digitalisation is very depressing. Study the history of a country’s development and you will find that all the developed countries go through certain stages and processes. We are not even on the right way yet but we talk about development the way developed countries do. We need to be on the right path which implies appointing the most qualified and experienced people who understand the issues and what to do. It is extremely sad to listen to these so called professors supporting and backing Bawumia without any scrutiny of his policies. Rather than making a hollow statement like digitalisation taking us to the next level, he should have told us how exactly it will take us to that level. One would think that a professor would be more forthcoming about facts rather than expressing empty ideas.

At this stage of Ghana's development. Job creation is what is needed most. Not digitalization and other fancies. Effective digitalization actually leads to job losses. But that is for another discussion.
