Our useless chiefs were only happy in slave raiding and human sacrifices. You can also tell Asantehene to ditch his Rolls Royces and all the trappings of the white man's wealth that he enjoys so much. Even Manhyia Palace as you see in pictures today was built by the white man for him. Osel Tutu and Co lived in a wattle and daub bamboo rofifed building. Maybe, our useless chiefs can go back to that.

“ The British Colonial Government built the Manhyia Palace in 1925 as a residence for Asantehene Agyeman Prempeh I. The palace was built after the British demolished the Aban Palace, which was built by the Ashanti Empire.

The palace was built for Prempeh I after he returned from 28 years of exile in the Seychelles. The Asantehene's old palace was burned down during the Yaa Asentewa War, and the Asante people refused to allow the British to give them the building as a gift. Instead, they insisted on paying for the building themselves.

The Manhyia Palace Museum is located in the palace and houses exhibits that provide insight into the culture of Ashantiland and Ghana's cultural legacy. The museum includes original furniture, lifelike wax figures of Ashanti kings, and video presentations”
