By consensus they wanted it within the shortest possible time for foundations to be made in the rural areas by the colonial looters such as roads bridges schools hospitals state farms industries etc. He disagreed and dishonesty broke away. Please Mukasa2 Dr Nkrumah never betrayed anybody . The UGCC that brought Dr Nkrumah to the Gold Coast could not work with him. On 12th August 1948, the UGCC suspended Dr Nkrumah as the General Secretary and on 3rd September 1948 when Dr Nkrumah came out with the Evening News newspaper, PA Grant, the President of the UGCC, Dr Danquah, Edward Akufo Addo, R S Blay and Dr Ansah Koi met and removed Dr Nkrumah as the General Secretary and made him an honorary treasurer. Please see page 79 of the Life and Times of J B Danquah by Professor L H Ofosu Appiah, Chapter 8 Ghana The Autobiography of Kwame Nkrumah by Kwame Nkrumah and Page 9 Ghana Nkrumah 's Legacy by Kwesi Armah. The post of General Secretary was then offered to Komla Agbeli Gbedema who declined it outright. Please see page 76 Outstanding Ewes of the 20th century Profiles of fifteen firsts Volume 1 by Professor D E K Amenumey.The CPP was formed on 12 June 1949. Please Mukasa2, it was the UGCC that first suspended and removed Dr Nkrumah as the General Secretary on 12 August 1948 and on 3rd September 1948 before Dr Nkrumah formed his CPP on 12 June 1949
